Karli Webster is a 22-year-old Alternative-Pop singer/songwriter residing in Los Angeles, California. Her break out moment happened during her Junior year at USC, when the Santa Clarita native was catapulted onto the national stage after being selected as a contestant for Season 13 of NBC’s The Voice. Karli’s rendition of Carly Simon’s You’re So Vain turned chairs within seconds. After soaring on the iTunes charts each performance, she was named Miley Cyrus’s “comeback artist” of the season and placed in the show’s Top 24.
It was during this time that Karli developed a loyal audience, who are drawn to her unique voice which hearkens back to the 1970s “Laurel Canyon” music scene, which garnered the attention of singer/songwriter Carly Simon (whom Karli is actually named after and has since befriended).
As a classically trained pianist from the age of 4 through 18, who won 8 state-level piano and numerous songwriting competitions, she found her true passion in making music.
In 2018, Karli entered the studio with Grammy-winning music producer Dennis Herring (Ra Ra Riot, Modest Mouse) and recorded her debut 5-song EP, Bittersweet. According to Karli, “The completion of this EP is the completion of a dream I’ve had since I was a little girl. An underlying theme of the EP is empowerment. These songs are about my experiences with love, anxiety and femininity, all of which have shaped me into the woman I’m proud to be today.” The EP was released in February of 2019 and is available on all streaming platforms.
Karli is currently working on producing more original music in her own home studio and performing throughout the Los Angeles area and surrounding areas. Follow her on social media to stay up to date with her future performances, and contact at email@example.com for booking inquiries.
